Here is a very interesting video from Esther And Jerry Hicks, the authors of Ask And It Is Given, as mentioned in a previous post. The video is really just an audio excerpt from a lecture/seminar they were giving. In the excerpt, they mention a story about a man who often finds pennies and he takes them as a signal from the universe of well-being and abundance. Then it mentions how Esther then began manifesting pennies – in strange places and at strange times.
Of course, dimes could easily be substituted for pennies. Something worth thinking about. Take a listen…

Found May 31, 2010 in the sand at the beach.
I was visiting my parents for Memorial Day weekend. They still live in the town that I grew up in. The town is on the coast and has about 6 or 7 town beaches for the residents. I normally go to the beach that is closest to their house which is about a 10 minute drive away. For some reason, that morning I wanted to go to one of the other beaches. Maybe it was another 2 or 3 minutes farther.
I got to the beach around 10:30 am. I like getting there early because there are usually only a few people there and you have your pick of where you want to sit before it starts to fill up and get crowded. There were maybe 4 or 5 people there so I pretty much could choose anywhere on the entire beach as to where I wanted to place my blanket and beach chair. I ended up walking down to the upper right corner of the beach (for lack of a better way to describe location). I dropped my stuff onto the sand and then grabbed my blanket to spread it out. As I stood there unfolding it, I noticed that the sand was really flat and even another 5 feet or so away so instead of placing it where I had stopped, I placed it there. Then I moved all of my stuff over to the blanket and sat down on my beach chair to finish reading “Infinite Possibilities” the book mentioned in my previous post.
I was there about an hour and a half before I had to get up and walk across the beach to use the bathroom. As I was walking back to my blanket, I found a perfectly heart shaped rock in the sand. I picked it up and brought it back to my bag wondering if it was a sign or something. I put it in my beach bag and sat back down on my beach chair. I thought “wouldn’t it be funny if I found a dime now”. That’s when I looked over to my left and saw this just an arm’s reach away from me.
I stared at it for a while thinking “are you kidding me?” I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. “Out of this entire huge beach, what are the chances that I’m going to put my blanket and chair in the sand right next to a dime?” And what if I hadn’t moved my blanket over a few feet like I had done? Did someone or something make me or want me to move it there? It was honestly like finding a needle in a haystack.
Here’s a link to a picture of the view to the left of my beach chair. It’s a full size image that you can see in actual pixels. What are the chances that my eye is going to be drawn to the tiny silver sliver peeking out of the sand?
View from my beach chair.
Needless to say, it was such a crazy experience that the first thing I did was take out my camera and snap these photos. Then I picked up the dime out of the sand. Once again I knew that I was exactly where I was supposed to be and that everything would work out for the greatest good.

Wow. Has it already been 7 months since I last posted a dime? Time is moving so fast.
I apologize for not keeping this blog up to date. Yes, I have still been finding dimes, but unfortunately, life has gotten so busy that I haven’t had the time to post anymore.
Last summer, some time around July or August, I discovered a book called Ask And It Is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks.
I took my copy to the beach and sat down to read it. I was there for a few hours and during that time about 4 different people who were sitting nearby or walking by told me that they had recently read the book and how amazing it was and how it had helped them to change their lives for the better, etc. I thought that was kind of strange because in all of the years of my life that I have been reading books at the beach, never had I ever had anyone tell me anything like that ever. So I decided to really put the principles laid out in the book to practice. Within days I started noticing small changes for the better. Sticky situations that I was in improved, relationships that were once rocky began to calm down, unexpected opportunites appeared. Life got more fun.
Over the next few months I read the other books by the same authors and continued to manifest exciting new things into my life. I realized that I had been resisting so much good that was trying to come to me. I completed changed my way of thinking about so many things. I began really having a blast when I got past many of my self-limiting beliefs. Since then I’ve met lots of incredible new people, have taken 5 trips, and my finances have even improved with a few nice sized unexpected payments coming my way. All within less than a year.
About two months or so ago, I discovered another book. Infinite Possibilities by Mike Dooley.
His premises are almost identical to those of Esther and Jerry Hicks regarding how your thoughts and feelings create your reality. Except he refines it even more and gives lots of great exercises and examples. It’s like the Law Of Attraction supercharged. I began doing some of the visualization exercises that he suggested just about a month ago. I was blown away by the results.
Just two weeks ago I had one of the most, if not THE most, profound experiences of my life. A series of “coincidences” and events happened that were so utterly mind-boggling in their perfection that I knew 100% without a doubt that everything happens for a reason. I sat there remembering events that had happened in the past that I never understood before and all of a sudden everything made total and complete sense. It was like watching a chain of dominoes falling. “Oh, so that’s why that happened. That happened so that that could happen so that that could happen so that that could happen etc. which all culminated in the experience I was having that made me see all of this with perfect clarity. Everything happens for a reason and everything happens in it’s own time. Nothing that anyone can ever say to me will ever make me change my knowledge of that truth. It was not the first time in my life that I came to that realization, but it was definitely the strongest experience I had ever had with it. It was as if every cell in my being radiated that truth.
That blissful state of perfect alignment only lasted a day or two, and I’m now back into the ups and downs of daily life and relationships. But now I’m armed with the direct knowledge that thoughts become things. Everything that we think, do, and say creates our reality and life experiences. It is with this knowledge and information that I move forward to interesting days ahead.
I definitely recommend both books mentioned above.

Found – on the floor of my bedroom
I work from home the majority of the time. I have a desk in my dining room and it has pretty much turned itself into my office.
I was working this afternoon and found myself restless yet tired at the same time. I didn’t want to sit at my desk anymore, I felt like I wanted to go upstairs and rest on my bed for awhile. So I did.
I walked upstairs to my bedroom and admired how organized it was, since just earlier that morning, I had cleaned everything up off of the floor, put all of my books and magazines on shelves or in neat piles, and really straightened things up. I laid down on my bed for about 20 minutes. Dozed off for a little bit, but mostly just stretched my body. I get so stiff sitting at a desk all day.
I thought I heard my cell phone ringing downstairs so I figured that I better get up and back to work, etc. When I got up, I found this dime on my carpet. I have a light beige carpet. The dime was definitely not there before I laid down. I would have totally saw it, it really stood out on the light carpet. I have no idea how it got there. I was the only one in my house at the time.

Found – behind my washing machine
I haven’t been able to use my washing machine for about a year or so now. The last few times that I used it, it was leaking water and it would drain out all over the floor. I live in a townhouse complex and have relatives fairly close by so instead of paying to have it fixed, I’ve been doing my laundry in the laundry room or else at someone else’s house.
I received a property tax rebate a few weeks ago so have been catching up with things that I have put off because I previously didn’t want to spend the money. One of which was fixing my washing machine.
I made an appointment with a local service company and they sent over their repairman to fix it. I have one of the stacked washer/dryers with a front loading washer on the bottom and a dryer on top of it. It’s located in my kitchen. The guy opened up the front of the washer to get at the bottom and the mechanisms and tested out the machine. Sure enough, it started leaking when the water drained out from it. That’s when he realized that there is nothing wrong with the washing machine, the problem is with the drain in the back. The drain is clogged and all of the water was backing up and onto the floor.
He pulled the washer/dryer unit out from the wall so that we could access the drain in the back, and when he did, I found this dime on the floor behind the washer.

Found – on the floor of a supermarket
A friend of mine from college had passed away after a 2+ year battle with cancer. A bunch of us were getting together at a restaurant for a memorial dinner and then going to his parent’s house afterward to visit as they were sitting Shiva.
During dinner we decided that we wanted to bring something to his family and that we should pop into the supermarket that was in the shopping center we were in to purchase a tray of pastries or something similar.
We drove to the other end of the shopping center and went into the supermarket. It was about 7pm and the bakery section was all the way in the back of the store. It was just closing up as we got there. We decided on a big tray of cookies and also a large fruit tart.
As we were walking down one of the store aisles back up to the front of the store, I just happened to look down and find this dime.

Found – on the floor at a salon
I was getting my hair done. It had been over two months since the last time I had gotten my hair done. I have long hair, and I lighten it, so I was getting my roots touched up and also a trim.
I sat in my hairstylist’s chair as she was applying the color to my roots, and when I’m sitting there, I really have nothing to do but look down at the floor in front of me since she usually has my hair combed forward and over my eyes as she’s working on the different segments. It was an empty tile floor in front of me.
She moved me over to the empty chair next to her’s so I could wait the 20 minutes or so until I needed to go get rinsed. She gave another customer a trim as I was sitting there. Then my alarm rang, I went to get my hair rinsed out, and came back. I sat down in her chair since she had finished the other customer in the meanwhile. As I was getting comfortable in the chair, I looked down at the floor in front of me, and there was now a dime there. I picked it up, thinking it was very strange that I did not hear any coins drop. It was a hard tile floor, there were no blow dryers running, nor did anyone ever take out their wallets in the area since the desk was way up front in another room. Yes, it could have fallen out from somewhere while I was getting my hair rinsed, but what are the chances of that happening while I’m there and would be sitting in the chair to see it. Weird.

Found – on the ground outside 7-11
I was spending the day doing some shopping and running errands. I don’t normally drink coffee, but every now and then, maybe once a week or so, I will feel like having one. Especially now, that the weather is starting to get colder and the stores all offer pumpkin lattes or pumpkin creamers. I just love anything pumpkin.
I decided that I would stop and get myself a small coffee while I was out and about. I pulled up to 7-11, got out of my car, walked into the store, poured my coffee, paid for it, and then walked out of the store. It must have taken me 2 or 3 minutes tops. On my way out, I found these two dimes on the sidewalk as I was walking back to my car. I definitely did not see them when I was on my way in to the store. I don’t think they were there when I was on my way in. But here they were just a minute or two later. Very strange…

Found – outside of Shop Rite
I was running into the supermarket to pick up a few things. For some reason, I parked my car on the opposite end of the parking lot that I usually do. I got out of my car and was walking into the store when I happened to look down and found this dime.

Found – on the ground at Dairy Queen
I hardly ever eat Dairy Queen. I live just around the corner from one, but I rarely go there because I’m not supposed to eat dairy products. I just can’t digest them very well, might be a milk allergy.
I was on the phone with my sister as I was driving home, and I had this overwhelming urge to go to DQ and get some chocolate ice cream with some chocolate sprinkles.
I pulled into the parking lot, parked my car, got out, and was walking around the front of my car to the building, when I looked down and found this dime right in front of my car.
