    I find dimes.

    October 4, 2007

I’ve found three dimes within the past week.  I have found no other coins.  Just dimes.

I’ve been finding dimes for quite a long time now.  A year.  Maybe two.  I didn’t notice it at first.  I thought it was just random.  You know, coins that you find lying around in a parking lot or on a sidewalk or on the floor of your car.  I always pick them up.  I think it’s bad luck if I see a coin on the ground and don’t pick it up and that for some reason, the universe wants me to have the money.  Who knows?  Maybe I will need it some day.

After a while, I realized that I was always finding dimes.  Occassionally I would find a random penny, but for the most part, it was always dimes.  There is an old adage that says “Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, three times is proof.” So I feel like something is going on here.  Someone is sending me these dimes.  I’m not sure who.  Maybe my Grandfather.  I’ve only noticed the dimes since he has passed away.  He used to collect coins.  So if I think it’s from anyone, it’s from him.  And I feel like there is a reason why I am finding them.  Like it’s a little validation message to say “you’re on the right track”.  I could be wrong here, but that’s the feeling I get.  So now, when I find a dime, I say thanks to my grandfather and know that I’m going the right way.

I find dimes too. Been about 4 years. Ironically, I had a conversation with my mother before her death, about finding a way if she could to let us know that she was OK. You know that old poem, about finding pennies? She told her grandkids if they found pennies they would be from her. However, on the day of her death, we began to find dimes, not just anywhere but in places where you wouldn’t expecct. We pick them up and save them, and yet dimes continue to appear. Everyone in our immediate family has found dimes, in places that just are simply unexplainable. At times, others are with us, we, and the extended family and friends are convinced that the dimes come from our mother.

I asked for a sign that there was a here after from my brother whom suddenly passed away May 2004 of a heart attack only 48. I was so angry at God and started to question life and if we just live and one day go to sleep forever and what is this all about? He was a good man and a Christian
I asked for a sign I did not get it right away. I thought it was just a coincidence them they just kept coming. Lots of places out in the wood no kidding places money is not exchanged even. I did not tell any one right off thought they would make fun of me and say ya right. But to date I have logged 604. Here my sign! There is a here after and my brother wants us to know. I beleive and feel blessed I say thanks you God and Chris.

      Hey there!

Due to not bein’ able to sleep… I thought I’d try to find some answers to things I’ve been thinkin’ about–and, after reading parts o’ your blogs… I definitely don’t think it’s coincidence that I came across this on a Full Moon nite! ;) LOL…

ANYWAY… I find dimes as well. Tons o’ them in all sorts o’ crazy spots. I used to find coin money, in general, in all sorts o’ places… Like, my body was a natural metal detector! BUT, as o’ late… especially in the past 6 months… I’ve been specifically sighting & grabbin’ the dimes I find.

They’re like, special finds now! If only I would’ve wrote down where I’ve found them all (like you have)… maybe I could find a pattern or something… but, for now–I just thank the Universe politely and wonder what it all means.

Thank you, thank you, thank you–10x over ;) –for sharing your experiences w/ these lil’ coins! It’s good to know that I am not the only one (not that I ever thought that really… but, you know how it is…)

My mother passed away 10 weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. One of my friends at work who had also lost her mother, told me of “Angel Dimes”. he said that after her mom died, she started finding angel dimes everywhere~ strange places, and never other coins or in piles of coins, just single solitary dimes. When she finished her story, she went back into her operatory (we work in a dental office)and yelled for me to come back. There was a dime sitting on the chair. So I started watching for them and yes, I get Angel Dimes too!! At least once every 2 weeks or so, I open my dryer and one lonely dime will fall out at my feet. Not a penny, nickel or quarter, but a solitary dime. I also found one one night, after I had stripped the bed, washed all the bedsheets and remade the bed…. I went to climb in and when I flipped down the covers, there was a dime in the middle of the bed!!! I also found one after a night I had swept off our front porch, and the next morning there was a dime on my front step. I found one in a field last fall when I was picking a pumpkin, an especially difficult day for me as I had been crying all day and missing my Mom, in pain and heavily medicated from a recent hip surgery… there was a dime laying in the grass sparkling up at me. Lost my job, found a dime. Worried about my marriage, found a dime. They always appear at times when I am upset, down or dealing with something difficult. Many times I have broken down when I find a dime, because I know it’s from Mom. I wish I had kept a record of when and where, maybe I should start!! Angel Dimes are a sign of love from someone who has passed on and it’s their way of sending encouragement and peace. I bless my Mom for keeping me sane by sending them to me. Now that I’ve written this, I’m sure I will find one in the next 24 hours….

This is nuts. I have been finding dimes for the past two years. Even at night when I am walking from my job to my car I notice something sparkling and its a dime. One time I thought to myself I will not find a dime today, by the end of the night I found a dime. I don’t look for them, but it has become really weird. I decided to google it and thats how I found this site, however I was looking for more of an occult meaning to it. I don’t have anyone close to me that has died. Does anyone know if there is any myths or stories about finding coins, dimes in particular?

My mom died in 2002 and soon afterwards me and my daughter began to find dimes. They would show up out of nowhere. And when you saw one, sometimes two, you just knew that they were from her. They seem to say something, but we are not sure what. They have since slowed down, but we do still get some. Happy to hear that there are others receiving these “Angel Dimes”

In 2002, I started finding dimes in very weird locations. I would be walk through a room, and there would be nothing there. I’d turn around, and they’d be one on a table. I would just clean a spot, only to have a dime there later on. I’d trip, and there’d be a dime on the ground; my eye would catch on a certain area I’d normally not look at, but sure enough, a dime.

I started noticing it was during my times of high stress, or when I needed reassurance. I didn’t mention it for about a year, and then brought it up to my now husband. It turns out he was finding them in weird places too! Even when I don’t need reassurance, it’s nice to know someone is up there looking out for us. It’s even to the point now where when I find one, I know something positive is about to happen, or things will get better.

I lost my nana, dog and cat in 2002; my husband lost his grandfather in 2001, I’m not sure who it is (or they are), but am thinking maybe a little thank you is in order for them being there with us. :)

I have been finding dimes for a long time. Started after an untimely death of a close friend. For the longest time, I thought that I was finding them because they were shinier than other coins…even joked saying I wished I was finding quarters, etc…I honestly thought that because I was more aware of looking out for dimes that maybe that’s why I was finding them. When I got pregnant with my first child, the dimes stopped. Just stopped. I looked, and I didn’t find them. About 7 months post partum, I started finding dimes again. In the strangest places. And they seem as if they are always heads up and perfectly placed. And it’s usually when I feel super frustrated. I can’t figure out the dimes. I just try to smile when I find them, and let it reassure myself in some way of something else beyond my control. It’s all going to be okay.

Did not feel well today, had an unusual headache. Stopped at the convenience store on my way to work to pick up some milk. Stopped the car, opened the door, went to step out of the car and there was a dime!!! Haven’t seen one of those in about a two months. Been finding dimes since my dad passed away in 1999. Told my friend at work, she said “did you look at the date?” – I looked at the date 1995. She said “does that date mean anything to you?” – I said “yes” that is the year I met my husband. The dime is sitting on my desk right now, it makes me SMILE!!!! Love you Dad, I know you are watching over me!!!

My daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. As soon as we started the devastating ordeal of scans, biopsies, chemo, surgery, radiation we started finding dimes, myself, my daughter, her sisters, aunts everybody that was praying for her every day and night. Before every chemo treatment I would pray to God to let the angels send me a sign to help her get through this so we would know she is going to be okay. And sure enough, almost every time, we would find a dime. One time I was driving my daughter to chemo and she stopped to get a coffee, and a dime literally jumped out of her pocket book and right into her lap. Whenever I got so worried and upset I would pray to give me a dime so I know things will be okay, and I would find one. I bought a little ceramic jar decorated with the word BELIEVE written on it, and my daughter has kept all the dimes we have found in it. I truly believe our guardian angels watch over us and this is the way they show us we are in good hands. Our dimes helped get my daughter through a year of hell and back. We do BELIEVE.

On Oct 4th I found a dime and have been actually looking for them, as the days went by I’d forgotten all about that dime. Then on Oct 16th I was in line for a hot apple cider at Dunkin Donuts, I stepped aside to let another customer order. Standing there I started getting bored and looked down on the floor, there on the carpet…. an old very gray dime!!!! Way to funny, of course brought a SMILE to my face. Then a customer stepped on it and I had to wait for him to get off MY dime!!! The year on the dime 1989 does not ring a bell with me. Thanks Dad for thinking of me on Saturday – - I love and miss you!!!!

My daughter was killed four years ago in a car accident and we started finding dimes everywhere! In the washing machine (i know you find coins in the machine often, but only dimes at my house), walk down the hallway and when you come back down the same hallway…a dime. Go down the stairs and when you come back up…a dime. Open the car door to get out and look down….a dime. This past Tuesday was the fourth anniv of her passing, some of her friends came over to the house. I had cleaned up the living room before they got there, when they left I looked over at the end table and there was a dime. Last night two more of her friends came over and when I stood up to see them out….i was sitting on a dime. We have lots of other signs, street lights going off as we drive under them, lights in the house blinking off and one etc…but the most consistent is the dimes. I know that it is my Jessie letting me know that she is around.

Oh my God! Well, today I have found 4 dimes. I was cleaning my dog cage and when I picked up the blanket, guess what?, there was a dime in the my dogs bed. When I moved the cage to clean under it, another dime. Then, since I was cleaning, it started to get hot inside the apartment. I spent all morning looking for my air conditioning unit remote control and I couldn’t find it. My friend, which is the maintenance guy from the apartment complex had borrow the control because he was working on another apartment that someone just moved away. He said to go to the apartment that was open and to get it. When I went inside it, I looked in the window on top of the wall air conditioning unit in the living room, and I found a small picture frame with Psalm 91 (if you think numerology “9+1=10″ right?!). Well, I kept walking into the apartment and went to the bedroom where the other air conditioning unit is. When I looked in top of the airconditioning unit, there is a window, guess what i found? Another dime! Finally I looked in the bathroom and he had left my remote control there. Anyway, I went back home, and I had just picked up from the trash a new “Disney Princess chair desk chaise pupitre someone had thrown away in the box completely new. I decided to pick it up and gave it to my 16 year old daughter that just had told me that she and her 15 year old boyfriend were pregnant. What a big dissapointment! I was devastated, sad, etc. Just imagine all my emotions when your child tells you that she is having a baby. :( Well, I told them to start putting this chair together, and when I pick up the box to throw it away, guess what drop out of the box. Yesss, a shiny new dime, just out of the factory. Then, I was telling my mom about that lately i have been finding dimes, and that she brought me this week a full roll of change and guess what they were, of course, dimes! When I told my other friend about what happened today, she said that God is asking me for his 10%. I started to believe that is true, because i had promised God that I was going to start giving his 10% to church but since I am unemployed right now, I haven’t been able to keep my promise. I just recently graduated from college and I will start applying for a job. As soon as I start working, I will start to keep my promise. Well, for the believers out there, just pray for me and my family. Amen.

I have had substantial losses, and each day that was difficult I would find a dime, and usually three in a row. One for each person that has passed. I believe in Angel dimes, they are very comforting and very much appreciated. I hope to keep finding them especially in times of need, but most of all just a sign of love is all we really need!! :)

I have been finding dimes too. When my brother died, my parents practically lost everything. We were finacially in the hole and didn’t know what to do. So me being of Pagan worship, began throwing everything I had into asking the Goddess for help. But for some reason or another, she never seemed to manifest an answer or solution. And one day, I was extremely depressed, and was in a very bad place. Now when my brother died, we had a memorial service for him and a butterfly release. One of the butterflies refused to leave us, refused to fly away. We were in the memorial garden for several hours, and the butterfly refused to go away. We thought that because its wing was slightly damaged, it wouldn’t fly away. So we set it on a nearby flower and turned to leave. We get out to the car and I see the same butterfly, flapping its wings on the pavement. I went over to get it out of the road, and it was sitting on a dime. At the time, I didn’t think anything of it, picked up the dime, set the butterfly in the grass, and we went on our merry way. After that, I began to find dimes everywhere. All the time, and in the most bizarre of places. I collected them in a jar. This went on for a few years and we ended up with about six huge pickle jars full of dimes. We finally cashed them in and it was almost enough to get us out of the financial debt we were in. Now, I am finding them less frequently, but they always seem to appear when I need a little reassurance that my baby brother is looking out for us from above. Love you Davy, and we will meet again. <3

I thought I was going crazy with me finding all these dimes. My husband and I have just moved and I find dimes in the oddest places of our townhome. I have found them on the staircase, in our bedroom in front of the door, today I found one in the bathroom that I know for a fact was not there yesterday. I don’t find dimes when I am outside, it is only in my townhouse. After reading all these posts, maybe it is someone who has passed. My father passed away suddenly a little over 3 years ago and I found out a couple of weeks ago that a dear friend of mine passed several months ago. Maybe one of them?
