    Dime 96

    October 21, 2009

Found – on the floor of my bedroom

I work from home the majority of the time. I have a desk in my dining room and it has pretty much turned itself into my office.

I was working this afternoon and found myself restless yet tired at the same time. I didn’t want to sit at my desk anymore, I felt like I wanted to go upstairs and rest on my bed for awhile. So I did.

I walked upstairs to my bedroom and admired how organized it was, since just earlier that morning, I had cleaned everything up off of the floor, put all of my books and magazines on shelves or in neat piles, and really straightened things up. I laid down on my bed for about 20 minutes. Dozed off for a little bit, but mostly just stretched my body. I get so stiff sitting at a desk all day.

I thought I heard my cell phone ringing downstairs so I figured that I better get up and back to work, etc. When I got up, I found this dime on my carpet. I have a light beige carpet. The dime was definitely not there before I laid down. I would have totally saw it, it really stood out on the light carpet. I have no idea how it got there.  I was the only one in my house at the time.

I find it fascinating that myself and my family aren’t the only ones who experience this. We have been finding dimes for about 6 years now. We find them all over the place. Behind things, in places we’ve never been before, in places we’ve just been and not seen them the first pass through. Last night my wife found one behind a piece of furniture. She made a comment about how she wished she had more and left it on the livingroom table. This morning three more appeared on the same table. They weren’t there last night. On Monday, I found one at work next to a plastic figure of a little boy that looks like my son and a blue hair tie that looks like one my daughter lost at home that morning. I just started keeping track of them on Monday. We’ve found a total of six since then. Thanks.

I’ve been finding dimes everywhere myself, and am beginning to wonder what it means. The number ten symbolizes completeness and perfect order; where nothing is wanting or lacking.
      Weird.

Wow, I wish it had occured to me to track my dimes. I’ve found over 300 over the last seven years. Always where they seemed to placed or where someone else should have picked them up first. After about the first twnty, I started saving them. I have alot.

I found your site in an attempt to find out if there is a meaning to finding dimes. Yesterday, within a 24 hour period I found four. One when I walked out of my front door, near the doormat. The secound when I was leaving a friends house. The third under the chair of a friend and the last one was after I had told my sister about the dimes we were in her bedroom as she walked across the room one stuck to her foot!

It’s rare that I ever find a dime and 4 in 24 hours is weird. What does it mean?

OK! So i had to google dimes to see what going on with these things! I’m not sure when it started but its been in the last 3 months. Its crazy, and almost ridiculous! For myself, the dimes will almost jump out! Last tuesday I picked up my husband jeans off the floor and a dime jumped out into my shoe! I found two in one day a couple of weeks ago. One on the bathroom floor, and the other was quite crazy! I was going through boxes down in the basement that I haven’t seen in years. Well, I found a locket that I’ve had since I was a teen. I opened it, and there it was…one dime. I work in a restaurant and will find them there as well. If change falls out of check presenter, guess what it has been? My friend the”Dime”! Would love to now what it means. Please, IF anyone has an idea of what this means. It would be great if they left a comment. As of tomorrow I will start keep track.

My husband of 7 years died August 21, 2009, and since then I’ve been finding dimes all over the house, in my car, in my coat, and in my office. I didn’t think much of it until I went out to the gravesite and there’s a dime on his grave. What does this mean? Is he trying to communicate with me? Is is positive? I’m getting chills reading all of your comments. Am I reaching?

I’ve been finding dimes since October 2009 when this was posted. I had been practically begging God to show me that He still loves and hears me, and then they started showing up. I have so many strange stories! The strangest was about three weeks ago when I was standing in the checkout line at Kroger with my fiance. He was paying for our food, and I was spacing out staring at the Haiti relief donation box thinking about how I wish that I could be there to physically help out. I looked down at my purse to see if I had spare change at the bottom. When I looked back up there was a dime teetering on the edge of the coin slot…. I joked and said it was a test to see if I’d put it in or take it for my collection. The foreign grocery bagger looked at me like I was a spoiled American brat lol…or maybe I’m just paranoid. I wondered for a while what the dimes symbolize. For me it means that God is “dropping me a dime”. Saying “Hi, I hear you and I love you.”

Last week I went out to the mall with a new friend. I haven’t had barely any friends to hang out with for a while so I was nervous, and being in crowded places makes me panicky. When I got a drink from a vending machine and got all my dimes back I felt like God was with me and he knew what I was going through.
Also, I’ve been having a lot of dreams lately that have resurfaced emotions from my past. Today I discovered what a part of a vivid dream from my childhood meant and I knew that it was a message from God. I haven’t figured out the full meaning and it has been on my mind all day. When my fiance David was helping his Uncle move his stuff out of the the house he found a dime in the storm drain. He brought it up to me and I just wrapped my arms around him.

So have you stopped finding dimes, or just quit posting? My son passed away in 2004, and for the first several months, I was finding dimes (several dollar’s worth in one year) everywhere I went.
I was also finding lots of pennies, but didn’t find that as peculiar, people often treat pennies like they were old cigarette butts these days…
Many times I would find dimes and pennies together, and started searching for hidden meanings – it was happening so often that I just could not believe it was a coincidence – and found that many believe that dimes are an attempt at communication from spirits (pennies are, too – hence the expression “pennies from heaven”) and when found in combination are a powerful force in the spirit realm. We moved a couple of years later, and the dime and penny findings diminished considerably. Now almost 6 years later, the dimes are back. I find them on floors I have just swept, purses I have thoroughly cleaned, at work, everywhere. In the past 24 hours I have found over 12 dimes and 7 pennies. I just wonder what my son is trying to tell me… and wish that he was still here to do it live and in person. Good luck and God Bless.

Wow reading all of these comments really give me the chills, I have been finding dimes since my brother-in-law had passed away. I purchased my home approx. 4 years ago. When I decided to clean my carpet infront of my wash machine, I picked it up and noticed 3 dimes in a triangle shape. I asked (If this is you Chris please leave me more dimes), well a week later I found 6 dimes in the bottom of my wash machine. I find dimes everywhere, I have quite the collection, is this a paranormal activity or what? Could someone inform me.
Thanks so much and have a great day!

I have recently begun finding dimes…. mostly heads up from all random years. My mother passed away about 5 years ago and in the recent months she has really been on my mind – and it seems like since then I have been finding them. In pockets of pants I have not worn in a while, on the floor, on the ground etc.

I can’t explain it. But I have been finding dimes for about 9 years. All I can say is that I’m completely content and happy in Life.Is it possible that we all have something in common? Are we all being sent some kind of message? What do you think?

I’ve been finding dimes for 5 or 6 years now. Started calling the house I live in “The House of Dimes”. I didn’t have this happen to me before living in this house although finding the dimes is not limited to in thehouse. I just found one 30 minutes ago on the coffee table which I dusted this morning and no dime on it then. Like I read in one of the comments. I find them places where someone should have found them before me. I have a friend who is physic. Never thought to ask her. I will let you know what she says.

Just googled what it means when you find dimes…My parent’s best friend died in sept 2009… and my mother and the wife of the man who died keep finding dimes all over, but sometimes pennies and quarters. One time they needed 2 quarters to buy a book, and they had to go back to the car.. my mom looked down and 2 quarters were right there, that same day they were at the beach and she was playin with the sand with her feet, and a quarter popped up…also that same day she was shopping and a quarter appeared up outside the dressing room. I am not sure what they symbolize, but i really do think it’s the guy who died. I want to take them to Lily Dale which is 60 miles from Buffalo, I went there in July and it sounds strange..but the people there are called mediums and they communicate with others in the after life. They have their own website, and it was actually really intersting (oh and there is also a documentary on it “no one dies in lily dale” on HBO).

okay so i just posted a comment like an hour ago. i went to that guy’s house who died.. and then we came back home. I was telling my mom how it is so weird that i never find dimes or anything. I told her maybe becasue her and her friend are so conscious about finding them (if u think about somethign so much u see it, find it etc)thats why the find them. My mom said i bet you will find one. Well, i was drying my hair and had my head flipped over in my room.. and their was a dime starring right back at me. And like other people who posted said they cleaned and that there wouldnt be a dime there….. WELL the cleaning lady was here today!! AND i was in my room earlier today, and i would have seen it my rug is hot pink! i screamed so loudly it was the strangest thing. I am determined to find out what dimes mean in the spiritual world!

I’ve been finding dimes for about a year now since my divorce. Before that, I use to find lots of pennies. So, I’m guessing it’s a reflection of the good choices that I made this past year.

On a different note, whose face is on the dime? It belonged to one of the longest serving and respected Presidents of the U.S., Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Maybe he’s telling us something…

I have been finding dimes for years – even though my dad and i weren’t always close – i always thought it was my dad’s way of showing support (he passed on several years ago)It always brings me joy. Last week – sadly my nephew passed last week as a victim of violence – the day we found out – instead of dimes quarters. They are popping up everywhere – I like to think my dad is lending me his strength – but also wonder if it is a collective effort – from them or many others.

My mother died years ago and after our last of five sons was born we started finding dimes. I did a Google search today to see what it meant to find dimes; I though for sure there would be nothing about it. I find dimes every week and sometimes every day. Any time I visit a new state, the first place I stop I always found a dime. I’m glad I’m not the only one this happens to. The weird thing is I always thought they were from my mother who died. I had no idea that’s what it means in the spiritual world. I never try to find them, they just show up and that’s the fun it.

I’ve experienced the same thing in my house over the past year or so. The first one was in an empty bedroom that my daughter moved out of. I starting using it as a storage room and there was a dime sitting in the middle of the floor. Definitely wasn’t there before. I then found six in one day (my birthday) that came out of nowhere; one was behind a wall unit. But the creepiest one was when I was in the basement cleaning up some junk for a dump run; I visually swept a spot in the furnace room four or five times to make sure I was capturing everything that needed to go, and out of nowhere, two old vinyl record albums that I kept as keepsakes appeared in the very spot that I had swept. I couldn’t have absently minded placed them there, because I didn’t remember that I had them or where I put them. But there they suddenly were; when I picked them up, there was a dime underneath them. There were four more that day and four on Christmas Day. I made the mistake of telling my family doctor (I was going through a bitter divorce with an ex-wife who was convinced she was a psychic and psychic healer) and I thihnk he thought I was nuts. Last week, on this radio show that I listen to that has a weekly guest appearance by a “psychic”, some woman called in saying that her father had just died and when she woke up one morning there were three dimes in the bed next to her. I’m going to show this thread to him as proof that, whatever it is, this phenomenon actually does exist.

I have several photos I could share…. I am up to 236 dimes now and my experiences are like many of yours! I believe my dimes are coming from my grandmother. She was very dear to me, and though she passed in 1988 i miss her still and think of her daily. Three years ago i had some very difficult experuences to deal with; some job loss and medical issues etc. i was feeling so low and praying for help. Then came my dime. The first I found in the middle of my made bed in plane sight when I was alone in the house. Later that day another on the seat of my car, and later on my piano keyboard (I was starting to think “ya, right!”) . As I wondered what on earth …. Or not? I came upstairs to get ready for bed. I had a pile of family photos in my scrapbook room I had need working on that week, and I wandered in to tidy up a bit . I lifted up my grandmothers photo and there again, one dime. Lol. It happens all the time, but most especially if I am undergoing something serious or stressful or sad like the death of a pet or a surgery or something. She is here with me, just letting me know she’s watching out. I can tell.
