Dime 13

Found – Dark and wet CVS parking lot around midnight
I was coming back from the Christmas holiday. I had planned on leaving earlier in the evening, but it started to rain really heavily so I decided to wait until most of it had passed. It was about 11pm by the time I finally left my parents house to drive an hour back home to my house. I had been at my parent’s house for 4 days relaxing and celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas. It was nice but I couldn’t wait to get back to my own space and my own life.
As I was driving, I was thinking about the upcoming new year and the changes that I would like to make in my life, things that I would like to improve. I was thinking about getting a new and bigger, more comfortable house. I was thinking about changing my energy to be less focused on work all the time. I was thinking about how I need to have more joy and fun and less work. I was also thinking about how I needed to pick up some facial cleanser that I was out of and who would be open at that hour of the night.
I remembered that there was a 24 hour CVS on the way home that wasn’t too far from the highway. It was small, but they were the only convenient one that would be open so late. I pulled into the nearly empty parking lot at just about midnight and parked 3 spots away from the front door. I spent about 10 minutes walking around the store trying to find what I wanted, but they didn’t carry it and I ended up leaving empty handed.
It was still lightly raining as I walked out of the door and into the dark and wet parking lot. I noticed that some woman had parked next to my car. She was in the process of getting into her car and her door was open so I had to wait in order to open my door and get into my car. I stood near the back of my car with my head pointed down toward the pavement to avoid rain in my face. I thought that I had seen a dime on the ground, but with the water on the pavement and the way that the parking lot lights were reflecting off of it, it was really hard to see. I looked closer but it was only some old gum. I looked at another spot near it, but it was only part of an old leaf. All of a sudden, I had this feeling throughout my body that yes, a dime was there. It was almost like a voice had said, there is a dime here. I blinked my eyes and shook my head to clear my vision. The woman had just shut her car door so I was free to get in my car. As I lifted my head up, I saw it about 18 inches away from where I had been looking. A shiny wet dime on the watery pavement. I picked it up, got in my car, and drove home. It was one of the most bizarre dime finding experiences yet.
